The system was originally written in Clipper 5.0 and stored information in Xbase file format. It was ported over to Visual Basic 3.0 using a host of third party tools including Microsoft Access 2.0 and Watcom SQL. System was converted over to Visual Basic 5.0 and Microsoft Access 7.0, in 1997. System interfaces with external devices via serial communication routines and boasts drag and drop, editable grids, sizable forms and controls, user defined grid layout and a dynamic report writer. Customized labor control system for use in Allied Signals Baltimore plant to monitor labor expenses by comparing data collected from the Checkpoint Access control system to information reported on the companys mainframe. Customized time and attendance program to handle exceptions presented by Allied Signal, Port Elizabeth, NJ. Developed an attendance program utilizing Checkpoint Access control system to provide raw time information. Data is converted and processed to obtain information on employee hours. System determines average start and end times, total time missing from plant and accumulates data for historical reference. Developed interfaces to leading Access Control System providers.
