Problems and Errors In Version 2.1, if during the End of Period a current period time card is already detected in the history file, it will not be deleted from the current period. This situation occurs when the current period has already been closed and the period is reprocessed by transferring the same period into the system. Changes made to version 2.3 will now delete these time cards.
Reports don't run if the report files (*.rpt) are not located in the same directory as the data (dbaccess.mdb) or if a newer version of Crystal Reports has been installed on the client machine. Currently, QUE Acct Version 2.3 uses version 5.0. Version 3.0 uses Crystal version 8.0. Contact us if you need an upgraded version.
You can't edit time cards unless specific authorization has been given through the Access Security function. If editing is allowed, Edit is On, will appear on the table header.
When the Validate function is executed in the Workdesk any time cards appearing for future periods will appear. This action is by design to notify the operator that time cards have been entered or transferred for future periods.
A bug that allow you to skip assigning a schedule in the Workrule table causes this problem since third shifts must have a Date Crossover button set to Yes. See the Schedule/Master and Workrule functions.
You don't need to validate each employee's time cards through workdesk as long as you run the Time Card Validation report, since this report always validates all time cards when selected, as noted by the Please Wait ... message

The JetComp utility is provided by Microsoft to compact and fix corrupted databases. This is more powerful than the Utility menu option since it does not require that you start the Time and Attendance software before use. The system also has built in, a preset rebuild routine that occurs every so many logons and during the End of Period process. These utilities are specific to the Access based systems only. SQL Server based systems must use a separate set of utilities.
For version 3.0, Window 95 users must first download the DCOM utility before installing MDAC.
